Shop Policies

These Terms and Policies apply to purchases made through medallionjewelers.com and transactions involving merchandise ordered through the website.

Medallion Jewelers reserves the right to update these policies from time to time. The policies in effect at the time an order is placed will generally govern that transaction unless otherwise required by law.

1. RETURNS, REFUNDS, & EXCHANGES:

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Eligible, non-custom merchandise may be returned if the customer contacts Medallion Jewelers within 7 calendar days of confirmed delivery for United States & Canada and 14 calendar days for EU (except where applicable law states otherwise) to request a return. A return must be authorized by Medallion Jewelers before it is shipped back. Merchandise returned without authorization may be refused.

Returned merchandise must be:

• In its original, unworn and unaltered condition;
• Free from damage, wear, scratches or modification;
• With all original components, links, stones, and accessories;
• Accompanied by its original packaging and any certificates, grading reports, appraisals or other documentation supplied with the item;
• Without removal, alteration, or damage to any identifying marks, serial numbers, inscriptions, tags, or security features;
• Returned in accordance with instructions provided by Medallion Jewelers.

Store-Credit Returns:

Eligible items may be returned within 30 days of delivery in exchange for store credit. Returned merchandise must satisfy all previously stated return conditions, including any requirements concerning condition, wear, packaging, documentation, certificates, tags, and other included materials. Store credit will be issued only after the item has been received and inspected. After 30 days, all sales are final. This store-credit policy applies to eligible change-of-mind returns and does not limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.

Shipping, insurance, sizing, alteration and other service charges are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.

Before sending any merchandise back, please contact Medallion Jewelers for return instructions.

Once an item has been exchanged it is no longer eligible for additional exchanges or returns.

All returned merchandise is subject to inspection, authentication, and verification by Medallion Jewelers before any refund is approved.

For the protection of both our customers and our business, Medallion Jewelers may document merchandise before shipment using photographs, video, weight, measurements, serial numbers, reference numbers, hallmarks, maker's marks, laboratory report numbers, diamond laser inscriptions, gemstone characteristics, and other identifying information. Returned merchandise may be compared with these records.

A refund will not be issued until Medallion Jewelers has had a reasonable opportunity to confirm that the merchandise returned is the same merchandise originally sold and that it satisfies the conditions of this return policy.

If there is a material discrepancy, Medallion Jewelers may conduct additional examination or obtain independent authentication before determining whether the return will be accepted.

Substitution of an item, gemstone, component, or accessory will result in refusal of the return and may be reported to the appropriate payment provider, insurer, shipping carrier, or law enforcement authority where warranted.

Final sale items may not be returned for change-of-mind reasons. However, this does not limit rights for defective, nonconforming, or misdescribed products, including repair, replacement, or refund where required by law.

Items Not Eligible for Return:

The following are FINAL SALE and are not eligible for return, refund or exchange except where required by applicable law:

• Custom-designed jewelry;
• Made-to-order jewelry;
• Special-order merchandise;
• Personalized merchandise;
• Engraved merchandise;
• Jewelry that has been altered at the customer’s request;
• Jewelry that has been resized at the customer’s request;
• Jewelry manufactured or modified specifically for a customer;
• Jewelry into which a stone selected or supplied by the customer has been set;
• Merchandise specifically identified as “Final Sale” before purchase; and
• Gift cards.

Orders for custom/personalized items may be canceled without charge if the request is made before production begins.

A deposit or payment associated with custom design, CAD work, special-order merchandise or other customer-authorized work may also be non-refundable when disclosed and agreed to at the time the work is authorized.

Deposits will be non-refundable only to the extent of documented, non-cancelable costs incurred before cancellation, itemized list of these costs will be provided upon request; any unused portion will be refunded unless prohibited by law.

Nothing in this policy limits rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws for defective, nonconforming, or misdescribed products.

Normal wear, accidental damage, misuse, alteration, resizing by someone other than Medallion Jewelers, loss of stones resulting from damage, and other customer-caused conditions aren't defects.

Customers should contact us within 5 days of discovering, or reasonably being expected to discover, any defect, damage, or material nonconformity so we can evaluate promptly. We may require photographs, documentation, and/or return of the item for inspection before determining whether the item qualifies for a remedy. Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.

If a potential defect is discovered after this return window, please contact us so we can inspect the item. Repairs may be offered where appropriate, subject to inspection and any applicable terms. Except for statutory rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, change-of-mind returns and exchanges are not available after the applicable voluntary return period.

Refund Processing:

Receipt of a returned package does not constitute acceptance of the return.

After the merchandise has been received, inspected, and verified, Medallion Jewelers will notify the customer whether the return has been accepted.

Approved refunds will be made to the original payment method, subject to applicable payment-processing rules and law.

Medallion Jewelers reserves the right to refuse a return when the merchandise returned is not the merchandise sold, has been materially altered or damaged after delivery, is missing components or documentation, or otherwise fails to satisfy this policy.

Nothing in this policy limits any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

2. SHIPPING:

Orders are shipped using USPS Priority Mail. Please note that we can only ship to the United States, Canada, and EU countries available at checkout. We do not currently ship to the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, or other non-EU European countries. Orders will be shipped 1-2 days after they are placed.

High-value shipments may require an adult signature or other delivery verification.

For security reasons, Medallion Jewelers may require additional identity, payment or address verification before approving the sale and shipping an order. If we request verification, we will contact you within 1–2 business days and shipping will begin after verification is completed. If verification is not completed within 7 days, we may cancel the order.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

Customers should promptly notify Medallion Jewelers of any shipping problem, damage, missing package or delivery discrepancy.

Do not discard packaging if a shipment arrives damaged.

If a return is accepted for any reason other than our error, shipping/insurance may not be refundable except where required by applicable law.

Shipping and delivery dates are estimates. Carrier delays, weather, security reviews and other circumstances outside Medallion Jewelers’ reasonable control may affect delivery.

3. CUSTOM JEWELRY:

Custom jewelry is created specifically for an individual customer and therefore cannot ordinarily be resold as standard inventory.

Once a customer approves a design, CAD rendering, stone selection, special order, engraving, sizing, alteration or other custom work and production has begun, the order cannot ordinarily be canceled, returned or exchanged.

Production begins when we start fabrication of the custom item following customer approval (including final engraving/personalization confirmation), as communicated to the customer.

If the custom item is defective, damaged in transit, or does not match the approved specifications, we will offer a remedy consistent with applicable law (repair/rework, replacement, or refund).

CAD images and renderings are representations of the proposed design. Minor differences may exist between a computer rendering and a finished piece due to manufacturing, finishing, stone-setting and other normal jewelry-making processes.

Natural gemstones and diamonds may also exhibit variations in color, inclusions, proportions and other characteristics.

Any material change requested by the customer after design approval may result in additional charges and additional production time.

Completion dates provided for custom jewelry are good-faith estimates and are not guarantees unless Medallion Jewelers expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

4. DIAMONDS & GEMSTONES:

Medallion Jewelers sells jewelry containing natural and laboratory-grown diamonds as well as natural, laboratory-created and other gemstones.

Medallion Jewelers discloses gemstone treatments when disclosure is required by applicable law, including treatments that are not permanent, create special care requirements, or have a significant effect on value. When applicable, treatment information will be included in the product description before purchase.

Natural and Laboratory-Grown Diamonds:

When a diamond is laboratory-grown, we identify it as “Laboratory-Grown Diamond,” “Lab-Grown Diamond,” “Laboratory-Created Diamond,”or similar language intended to clearly distinguish it from a mined diamond.

The term “diamond” by itself should not be interpreted as describing a natural diamond when the product description expressly identifies the diamond as laboratory-grown.

Customers should review the complete product description before purchasing.

Diamond Grading:

Diamond grades and measurements may be based upon:

• Independent laboratory grading reports;
• Manufacturer or supplier information; or
• Medallion Jewelers’ professional assessment.

When a laboratory grading report accompanies a diamond, the issuing laboratory will be identified when appropriate.

Diamonds and gemstones measured while mounted may be described using approximate measurements or estimated weights because exact measurements may require removal of the stone from its setting.

Gemstone Treatments:

Many gemstones commonly sold in the jewelry industry may be treated to improve their appearance, durability or other characteristics.

Where known and materially relevant, Medallion Jewelers endeavors to disclose treatments in accordance with applicable standards and law.

Customers seeking a specific treatment status, geographic origin or laboratory determination should contact us before purchasing.

Geographic Origin:

Descriptions such as “Colombian emerald,” “Burma ruby,” “Ceylon sapphire,” or other geographic-origin descriptions are based upon information reasonably available to Medallion Jewelers.

When geographic origin is material to a purchasing decision, customers are encouraged to request available supporting documentation before completing the purchase.

5. ESTATE, VINTAGE & PRE-OWNED JEWELRY:

Estate, vintage and pre-owned merchandise has previously been owned and may exhibit normal signs of age, wear, repair, restoration or alteration.

We make reasonable efforts to accurately describe the condition of such merchandise.

Photographs form part of the product description and should be reviewed carefully before purchase.

Due to the nature of vintage and estate jewelry, manufacturing specifications, exact stone weights, treatments, replacement components and previous repairs may not always be known.

Measurements and weights may therefore be approximate unless otherwise stated.

6. DESIGNER & TRADEMARKED MERCHANDISE:

Medallion Jewelers may offer authentic pre-owned, vintage or estate merchandise originally manufactured by third-party brands.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Medallion Jewelers is an independent reseller and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or an authorized dealer of the original manufacturer or trademark owner.

Brand and trademark names are used solely to accurately identify merchandise.

Medallion Jewelers makes reasonable efforts to evaluate merchandise represented as designer or branded merchandise before offering it for sale.

Any manufacturer warranty that originally accompanied pre-owned merchandise may have expired or may not transfer to a subsequent purchaser.

7. PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHS & APPEARANCE:

We make reasonable efforts to display merchandise accurately.

However, colors, gemstone appearance, metal color and proportions may vary depending upon:

• Lighting;
• Photography;
• Screen settings;
• Device displays;
• Magnification; and
• Natural variations in gemstones and jewelry.

Images may be enlarged to show detail and should not be relied upon to determine actual size. Customers should refer to stated dimensions and measurements.

If you need additional photographs, videos, measurements, or other information before purchasing, please contact us and we will be happy to assist whenever possible.

8. PRICING & ERRORS:

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that prices, specifications and product descriptions are accurate.

Occasionally, typographical errors, incorrect prices, incorrect specifications, inventory errors or other mistakes may occur.

Medallion Jewelers reserves the right, to the extent permitted by law, to correct an error and cancel or decline an order affected by a material pricing, inventory or product-description error.

If payment has already been collected for an order that Medallion Jewelers cannot fulfill because of such an error, the amount collected for the canceled item will be refunded.

Placing an order does not guarantee acceptance of the order. Medallion Jewelers may decline or cancel an order when reasonably necessary, including because of inventory errors, suspected fraud, payment problems or other legitimate business reasons, subject to applicable law.

9. AVAILABILITY:

Some merchandise displayed on MedallionJewelers.com may also be available for sale at our physical store or through other sales channels.

Inventory can therefore change before the website is updated.

An item appearing online is not guaranteed to remain available until an order has been accepted and processed.

If an ordered item is unavailable, we will contact the customer and, when appropriate, issue a refund.

10. RING SIZING:

Ring sizing involves physically modifying a piece of jewelry.

The feasibility and result of sizing depend upon the ring’s construction, metal, gemstones, age, previous repairs and the amount of size adjustment requested.

Some rings cannot safely be resized or can only be resized within a limited range.

When a customer requests sizing as part of an online purchase, the resized merchandise is considered altered at the customer’s request and is therefore final sale, except where otherwise required by law.

Resizing is final sale for change-of-mind purposes, but does not limit remedies for sizing-related defects, workmanship issues, or items that do not match their description/approved specifications.

11. WARRANTIES & REPAIRS:

Jewelry is subject to normal wear and requires reasonable care and maintenance.

Unless a specific written warranty is provided with an item, Medallion Jewelers does not represent that jewelry is immune from ordinary wear, accidental damage, stone loss, bent or broken prongs, impact damage, chemical exposure or other damage resulting from use.

Customers should periodically have frequently worn jewelry inspected and maintained.

Any warranty expressly provided with a particular product is subject to its stated terms and limitations.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

12. APPRAISALS:

An appraisal represents an opinion of value as of the date it is prepared and for the purpose identified in the appraisal.

Appraised replacement value is not necessarily the price at which an item can be bought or sold and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of resale value.

Diamond, gemstone and jewelry markets change over time.

13. WEBSITE INFORMATION:

Information provided on medallionjewelers.com is intended for general informational and commercial purposes.

We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate information but do not warrant that every description, photograph, price, availability statement or other website element will always be error-free.

14. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY:

Unless otherwise indicated, website text, photographs, graphics, logos, design elements and other original content owned by Medallion Jewelers may not be reproduced, distributed or commercially used without permission.

Third-party trademarks and copyrighted materials remain the property of their respective owners.

15. WEBSITE ACCESSIBILITY:

An order may be canceled and refunded if we reasonably believe a transaction is unauthorized or fraudulent.

18. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Medallion Jewelers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from use of the website or a transaction through the website.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive, restrict or eliminate any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

Nothing limits liability for fraud/fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death/personal injury caused by negligence, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

19. GOVERNING LAW:

These Terms and Policies are governed by applicable federal law and the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Any provision found unenforceable will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary while the remaining provisions continue in effect.

This policy does not affect statutory rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
